Koneko Diamond is a multidisciplinary creative studio led by artist Arvis Kantiševs. Rooted in a passion for bold ideas and timeless craftsmanship, we bring together art, design, and function to create work that pushes boundaries and tells stories.

At the heart of our work is Arvis Kantiševs, whose practice spans furniture, sculpture, clothing, footwear, and bespoke props. With a background in fine arts, experimental design, and handcrafted sculpture, he approaches each project with an artist’s eye and a maker’s hand—balancing concept with execution, tradition with experimentation.

We collaborate with clients, collectors, and creative partners on custom commissions, limited editions, and large-scale installations. Whether it’s a single piece or a full collection, our goal is always the same: to craft objects that resonate deeply and endure meaningfully.

Arvis Kantiševs is a multidisciplinary Latvian artist whose creative work spans performance, sculpture, fashion, and experimental design. He is a graduate of the Art Academy of Latvia, where he earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Fashion Design (2013–2020) and is currently completing a second Master’s in Sculpture. This broad academic foundation fuels his distinct approach, where craftsmanship, conceptual depth, and material experimentation intersect.

His practice ranges from handcrafted sculptural works to immersive performances, often combining throat singing, beatboxing, and physical movement. Kantiševs’ performance work has been showcased across Latvia and internationally, including in projects such as Ghosts of Impossible Present in Bratislava and ritual-inspired works like Bearman. He also appeared in Skroderdienas Silmačos, contributing both costume design and acting—demonstrating his versatility in theatrical and visual storytelling.

Beyond performance, Kantiševs actively contributes to public art. He is the co-creator of the stone monument “Ukrainas vainags” (Wreath of Ukraine) in Ogre, Latvia—a commemorative work honoring solidarity and resilience. His granite sculpture “Augšāmcelšanās” (Resurrection), weighing over a ton, stands in the sculpture garden near Ogre Hospital, exemplifying his dedication to enduring, large-scale works. His public installation “Trejputnis” earned third place in the Valterciems Art Competition, highlighting his growing recognition in contemporary sculpture.

Kantiševs is also deeply committed to education. He has worked as a teacher in diverse creative fields—including metalwork, digital art, and beatboxing—at institutions such as the Children and Youth Centre “Mīlgrāvis,” Mālpils Music and Art School, and the Children and Youth Science Education Centre “Tehnoannas pagrabi.” He has led art therapy workshops, summer camps, and voice performance sessions, and served as the producer of the 78th Carnival at the Art Academy of Latvia. His early professional work also includes a position as prop master at the Latvian National Opera, grounding his practice in the practical realities of stage and material design.
